The pattern includes a photo of the original image.
This image was given on 25-02-1974 from my grandfather to my aunt for her 50th birthday.
On the back my grandfather wrote a Dutch translation, the translation is also included in the pattern.
At the bottom of the image is written “Designed and Illuminated by Henry C. Stacy “.
I have not been able to find out who that is, if anyone knows, please let me know.
I do find it a very beautiful text and image.
I hope the message in this text will be true for everybody
After four weeks of struggling the pattern was ready.
Embroidering took some more time, but now it is finished, framed and on the wall in our house.
I called it Saint George because he is the patron of houses.
Embroidering this pattern I used one tread because I used a fabric with 16 strands/cm.
If you choose to use another kind of fabric, you might need to use two strands.
